Our member ryokan, Ryokan Kurashiki, is delighted to share the exciting news that their newly renovated private Residences open on Kurashiki Honmachi Street on 22nd December 2023.

Kurashiki Honmachi Street is nestled in quaint traditional townhouses and merchant houses from the Edo period to the Taisho period in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical District. (Preservation Districts for Groups of Important Historic Buildings) This December, Ryokan Kurashiki revived two quietly snuggled townhouses that are over 100 years old into lodgings that exclusively accommodate one group per day.

Their new Residences are modernized lodgings with freshness and comfort that luxuriously employ traditional Japanese materials like wood and washi paper, and the Residences are to be passed on from one group of guests to another.
