The Renewal of TAKIBI Lounge at The Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota with a Luxury Tent made in South Africa
~ The primitive time around the bonfire has evolved even further ~

The Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota, operated by Hiramatsu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hisashi Endo, hereinafter referred to as Hiramatsu), has been proceeding with the renewal of TAKIBI Lounge, which is famous for its "primitive food experience amid nature." We have recently installed a custom-made tent from the South African tent brand, "Bespoke Luxury Tents by Tentickle," used at luxury resorts worldwide for the first time in Japan with the completion of interior and plantings at TAKIBI Lounge. Our brand new TAKIBI Lounge will welcome you with the exciting arrival of autumn and winter.
The experiential value promised by The Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota

With our concept of "Forest Grand Auberge, where the guest can enjoy a full course from the beginning to the end of their stay," we provide our guests with the ultimate stay experience called "One Stay, One Full-Course," where they can enjoy one full course during the entire length of their stay. "Full-Course" here is not only referred to as our dining meals but also stay experience, including breakfast and coffee on the terrace or during a forest walk, forest dining in the villa's garden or terrace, and activities such as yoga and spa. Everything the guest experiences at The Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota makes our full course meal more flavorful.
Gather around a bonfire in the forest with a history from the Jomon period

Photo: As the sun sets, TAKIBI Lounge looks dreamy with warm light every night
Miyota Town in Nagano Prefecture is a rich land where people have lived since the Jomon period. (c. 14,000 and 300 BC) As a symbol of this, the ryokan's entrance is decorated with Jomon pottery excavated on the premises. Our primitive dining experience is prepared by the head chef using rich local ingredients, which makes "a marriage of food, time, and space" that is only unique to Miyota. Among the diverse dining experiences, "TAKIBI Lounge" is a popular spot for all guests staying with us. Enjoying toasting marshmallows with a sommelier's special Vin Chaud in hand while looking up at the forest and the sky at the TAKIBI Lounge is a just delight before dinner.
A comfortable and luxurious space connected to nature

The tent we installed this time is the Luxury Explorer model by South Africa's "Bespoke Luxury Tents by Tentickle," which is durable enough to handle wild environments such as safari and has a comfortable living space for luxury travelers. The design introduces new sustainable natural experience value.

TAKIBI Lounge’s tent has a roof width of 14.5 meters (approx. 47 feet) and a depth of 9.5 meters (approx. 31 feet) with an interior space of 51 sq meters (approx. 549 sq feet) and a deck. The furniture inside of the tent is custom-made in Japan, and the guests will feel the warmth of wood as it’s designed to blend in with nature harmoniously. The deck is equipped with hammocks and wood-chopping tools, and the guests are more than welcome to use.

In the kitchen car, we offer complimentary sommelier's special Vin Chaud, sangria, seasonal herbal teas, canelés, and more to our guests. With the installation of this new tent, the guest can now enjoy this new style of relaxation in addition to sitting around a bonfire. Also, the tent is open to the public between April and October from 10:00 and can be used as an outdoor living room. TAKIBI Lounge, which offers even more ways to spend your time at The Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota, will make your stay more fascinating, especially from autumn to winter.
