Shien-an is a rustic, family-style room, with a big irori fireplace for gathering around and a loft space above accessed by steep stairs. Sleeping arrangements are traditional tatami-and-futon style, and meals are eaten around the irori in the dining room.

The rotemburo is designed as a natural rocky pond overlooking cedar and maple woods, and the indoor ofuro is a black-walled rocky grotto with boulders piled to form a cave.
