The springs feeding THE SHINRA produce soft alkaline waters rich in bicarbonate and iron, which creates their distinct reddish brown hue. The waters are said to beautify skin and relieve joint and muscle pain. Although each room has its own private bath, the infinity-style public baths located nearly 50 meters above the ground are also worth a visit, offering views of Mt. Fuji across the bay. At night, the interior lights are dimmed and LEDs embedded in the stone gives bathers the impression they are swimming among the stars. After a relaxing soak, guests can take a moment to rest in the neighboring Nest Room, where comfortable bean bag chairs and refreshing seasonal snacks like frozen yuzu jelly await.
