There is one Luxury Suite on each floor of the Sugi wing, facing east toward Mt. Myojogatake and the foothills where torches in the shape of the character “dai” are lit during Hakone’s Daimonji-yaki summer festival. These suites have the most spacious bathrooms and an open-plan layout encompassing the living, sleeping, and bathing areas that is perfect for couples. Sliding doors and curtains can be closed for more privacy when needed, and a writing nook sits discreetly by the entrance for those in need of a work space. For those more interested in relaxing, there is plump sofa large enough for two to sprawl out.
